Desert Notes September 5^th, 2010

Adult Education Class- Sunday school to resume on September 19^th with a Study of the Book of Amos led by James our Pastoral Intern. Class will begin 9:00am sharp and will end at 9:50am.

Choir- will resume on September 9^th 6:30pm.

Faithweavers Kids Ministry- will begin on September 22^nd and will meet every Wednesday night from 6:00pm – 7:30pm. This new ministry will target elementary aged children from the neighborhood. This means we will need some extra volunteers who might be willing to serve with Lorie Brown, Rose Banfield, and Barbara Morris. For more information see Lorie or Pastor K.C.

Church Cleaning- Volunteers needed! We’re asking the whole church to participate in the upkeep of God’s House. Please sign up for any of the open weeks that are convenient for you to clean the church (approx. 3 hours). Signup in the Narthex.

Men’s Breakfast- Our next Men’s Breakfast is Saturday September 18^th, at 8:00am in the fellowship hall. See Dan Yanofchick for details.

Presbyterian Women’s Fellowship- will meet again on September 9^th at 4:30pm in the conference room.

GriefShare is a friendly, caring group of people who will walk alongside you through one of life’s most difficult experiences. You don’t have to go through the grieving process alone. GriefShare seminars and support groups are led by people who understand what you are going through and want to help. You’ll gain access to valuable GriefShare resources to help you recover from your loss and look forward to rebuilding your life. Our first Grief Share Group will begin September 23^rd at 6:15pm in the conference room, and will last for Thirteen weeks. See Lyn, our Group leader or Pastor K.C. for more details.
